Sasha Hitchcock is a Photographer based in the UK.
Her work explores themes of emotion, memory and identity in which she uses the camera to record a compilation of moments in time.
She has worked with The Telegraph, Elle Decor Magazine, River Cottage, Town and Country Magazine, Delicious Magazine, Steinway Pianos and the charities Thrive, Shekinah and Bags of Taste.
Sasha has been shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and her work has also been awarded a finalist position twice in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Award’s and exhibited at Mall Galleries.
She recently worked on the 209 Women project to mark the centenary of women achieving the vote in 1918. The project concluded with an exhibition of the images in the Palace of Westminster in December 2018 before moving to Open Eye Gallery in Leeds. The photographs now reside within the Parliament Collection. The series was also published as a book by Bluecoat Press.
Sasha regularly guest lectures at colleges and universities including Norwich University of the Arts and UCA Rochester.
Sasha is on the Youth Council for the Royal Photographic Society.
